Hardwood mix, natural drying, stored outdoors so that it remains ventilated.
The palette contains several species of hardwoods: ash, beech, oak and hornbeam. This is therefore ideal for a good balance between embers and bright flames.
There will be logs that are easier to light and others that will be used to keep the fire going longer.
The wood is well split into 30 cm logs, the ideal format for a small stove or a small wood insert.
Preferred wood species for heating?
There are different species that are good to use in your wood stove: beech, oak, hornbeam and ash.
They are hardwood type species and are ideal for heating because they have a high calorific value, wood logs will make good embers and beautiful flames.
Some use light woods, such as alder for example. But they will consume their wood much faster, because these woods burn faster and give less heat.
